Description
A medium to large tree that grows in the open and has a widespread multi dimensional habit (to 30 m diameter) but can create a strong log shape on the plantation.
Till 20 meter in height. Bark rough, reddish and grey inner bark. Bipinnate leaves, rachis 70-90 mm, baby leaves 1-5 pairs, 50-70 mm leaflets. Trees, 3-11 pairs, oblong to oblong, asymmetric, 15-65 mm x 5-35 mm, glabrous, small, initially bright green and folded at night. Fully but quickly in the dry season.
Peduncle to 100 mm, pedicel 1.5-5 mm, inconspicuous corolla, multiple free filaments, 15-30 mm. Entire soft, 60 mm long, yellow-green with distinctive good fragrance.
Pod oblong flat 120-350 mm x 30-60 mm, tearing paper, swelling on plants, dehiscent. Semes 3-12 per cell, brown, flat, 7 x 1.5 mm
