LIGHT: Medium to bright, indirect light. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will cause burning.
WATER: Water once the top 2-3 inches of the soil is dry. Do not allow the plant to stand in water: ensure good drainage. Water less during winter, and more if the plant is in a bright spot or it’s a warm summer. It’s better to be on the drier side than too wet for too long. Use lukewarm water when watering. As alocasia can be sensitive to the chemicals in tap water, allow it to sit for 24 hours before watering, or use rainwater or bottled water.
HUMIDITY: Medium to high humidity; mist frequently. A pebble tray placed nearby is a good way to maintain a consistently humid environment.
