Description
Pachira Aquatica, Money Tree
Off-sun Money tree or Pachira aquatica. We don’t mind what you call it, it’s simply a lovely variety of palm. They do not want to be as large as a houseplant in the house, which is why it is sold as an ornamental plant in cheaper sizes of 50 to 200 cm. In Asia, where the plant is known as “Malabar chestnut”, the tree is also called “money tree”.
In this part of the world, the plant is a symbol of business success, so you’ll often find it in offices and businesses. The houseplant does not bloom and grows less quickly than its wild variety. The plant needs plenty of water every three weeks. Note: You can really wait for the soil to dry out. In winter you can prevent the leaves from drying out by spraying regularly.
This indoor tree stores water in its trunk and therefore requires comparatively little care. Pachira is ideal for people who like impressive greenery in their homes but would rather not spend too much time maintaining it.
