Description
Sesuvium portulacastrum is a sprawling perennial herb up to 30 centimetres in high, with thick, smooth stems up to 1 metre long. It has smooth, fleshy, glossy green leaves that are linear or lanceolate, from 10–70 millimetres long and 2–15 millimetres wide. Flowers are pink or purple.
USES:
Groundcover in hot dry areas. A very strong green plant that does well en masse, in large borders, pots or containers, around streams, lakes, beach front locations and green walls.
